About the Comedians...

Josef Anolin is an Oakland-bred stand-up comedian and actor known for his charismatic stage presence, personal storytelling, and sharp punchlines. A Filipino and Japanese American performer, he draws on his cultural background and life experiences to deliver an original perspective on identity, everyday absurdities, and the human experience. Josef began his comedy career in the San Francisco Bay Area before expanding his performances to audiences across the country. His comedy credits include appearances at Punch Line San Francisco, Cobb’s Comedy Club, and Netflix Is a Joke Fest 2026. He has also performed at Clusterfest, Outside Lands, the North Carolina Comedy Festival, and SF Sketchfest. Now based in Los Angeles, Josef continues to perform regularly at established comedy clubs, including the Hollywood Improv.

Elyssa Phillips is a Los Angeles–based stand-up comedian, actress, and comedy writer known for her sharp wit, quick one-liners, and dynamic on-screen performances. Her television credits include HBO’s Silicon Valley and Hacks, ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat, Hulu/Fox’s The Mindy Project, and Netflix’s Leanne. She has also lent her voice to Adult Swim’s animated series Tuca & Bertie and appeared in other television and digital comedy projects. A graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Elyssa studied classical theater at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford and trained in improv and sketch comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade and The Pack Theater. She has performed internationally and opened for Iliza Shlesinger.

Alex Duffant writes his own bio in third person to make him feel important. He's been on the Netflix is a Joke Festival and travels the country sacrificing his physical and mental health doing comedy. His friends and family think it's a waste of time and he should just give up (like he did with the piano and trumpet and football and karate) but he ignores them the way he ignored his ex Veronica getting married and looking happy. His mother has given up her dream of having grandkids. Veronica and him weren't meant to be together anyway I'm serious my mom doesn't understand.

This show also features Toby Kamish.

Tickets are $20 Presale at our website standupcomedyundergound.com and $25 dollars at the door. Presale ends an hour before the show.

The show is at the Village Theatre at 602 Pine Knot Ave, Big Bear, CA 92315. Doors will open at
